I made these this morning and am taking some over for my in-laws to have for lunch. They are really good!
Here is a great recipe for Turkey Burgers, a healthy alternative to regular ground beef burgers.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, enough to coat saute pan
1 small onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 and 1/4 pound ground turkey
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 egg
1 cup Italian Seasoned bread crumbs
Dice small onion, add to saute pan, coated in small amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Add 1 clove minced garlic, add salt and pepper, to taste. Saute until translucent. In mixing bowl, mix together ground turkey, egg and bread crumbs until well blended. Form up to 6 patties.
In an electric skillet, or frying pan, coat with just enough Extra Virgin Olive Oil to cover bottom, add burgers over medium high heat, just season with a bit of black pepper. Brown 4-5 minutes, flip burgers, ad brown for about 4 more minutes.
To serve, plate up on your favorite style bun, your favorite low fat toppings, lettuce, tomato and low fat Swiss cheese.
These really have great flavor, especially with the sauteed garlic and onion.
Enjoy!
Love to all!
